High School Student Sings His Own Rendition Of “7 Years” At Graduation

For most people, high school graduation stands out as an incredibly important and memorable event. Sitting there in your cap and gown, listening to all the speeches, the feeling of elation and accomplishment that washed over each graduate is hard to forget. Then, when it’s finally time to cross the stage, take your diploma, and shake a few hands … well, that’s the best part.

Unless you’re JonPaul Wallace, that is. The teenager just graduated from Lapeer High School in Michigan and, during the ceremony, he took everyone by surprise with his performance. Aside from his phenomenal voice, Wallace also reworked the lyrics of Lukas Graham’s hit song, “7 Years,” to describe the journey he and his fellow seniors took to get to graduation. After watching his emotional performance, it’s easy to see that the standing ovation he received was well-deserved.

Don’t forget to SHARE this incredible act with your friends and family!
